Questions

What does the RICOH IM C6510 store in its address book?
Scan-to-folder credentials (SMB usernames and passwords), the network paths they scan into, per-user access codes, and fax/email contacts. Credentials are base64-wrapped inside the encrypted backup — this tool unwraps them.
Do I need the backup password for the RICOH IM C6510?
Only if an administrator set one when exporting. Many backups have no password; leave the field blank in that case. A wrong or missing password is detected and reported.
Is decoding the RICOH IM C6510 address book legal?
Only on devices and data you own or are explicitly authorized to examine — for example during a forensic engagement, a penetration test with scope, or recovering your own organization's settings.
